Michele holds a Bachelor’s degree in General Studies with a concentration in Elementary Education and Mathematics from Pace University. She began her Master’s studies in Secondary Education at Pace and subsequently earned her graduate credentials from Grand Canyon University in Phoenix, Arizona. A dedicated educator since 2001, Michele is dual certified in New York State in Mathematics for grades 7 to 12, with a 5 to 6 extension, and Computer Science across grades K to 12.
Currently, Michele is spearheading the development of the Computer Science department at Saugerties High School. Her work focuses on a comprehensive vertical alignment, concentrating on middle school technology and high school programming in Java. Beyond the classroom, she serves as a strategic leader for the district by overseeing the implementation and development of AI infrastructure.
Since 2003, Michele has taught Senior High School Mathematics at Saugerties Jr/Sr High school, following two years of teaching experience in Monticello, NY. Prior to her career in public education, she spent over nine years in Organizational Development within the corporate sector. Working for Fortune 500 companies and major firms including Bloomberg L.P. and CompUSA, she delivered software application, leadership, and customer service training to professionals in high stakes environments. Her instructional expertise spans Leadership and Management, Ergonomics, and PC Application Software. Michele has delivered training both nationally and internationally, including sessions in Hong Kong and Brazil.
A Long Island native, Michele relocated upstate for college and currently resides in Kingston, the historic first capital of New York State.
