Katherine Squires

Katherine has been teaching at Garden City High School for seventeen years. She is dually certified in Special Education and Social Studies. She attended the University of Scranton and Dowling College. In 2011 she was awarded a teacher fellowship for graduate study from the New York State PTA. In addition, Katherine was nominated as a semi-finalist for 2017 NYS Teacher of The Year. Besides teaching course through NYCTD, Katherine is an Attendance Dean and Yearbook Advisor. Katherine is also the lead teacher of the special education department for Garden City High School and is mentoring coordinator for the Garden City School District. Katherine is also the director of Successful Students Tutoring Service.
