Students of many races, cultures, ethnic backgrounds, and economic situations fill today’s schools. This course will explore various cultures and provide educators with tools for promoting respect among students. We will look at activities that teachers can use in the classroom to foster appreciation of similarities and differences among these cultures. Teachers will learn how to integrate multiculturalism into their everyday lessons and will be provided with a wealth of helpful resources, including literature and websites. These lessons can be implemented K-12. Recommmended text:Voices of Diversity - Lori Langer de Ramirez Pearson Education, Inc.
